Reusable Fieldtypes are introduced in CaseLocker Version 0.7.04.
Any user can use a reusable fieldtype, but only organization administrators can create or convert existing fields into new reusable fieldtypes.
These fieldtypes are set by an organization administrator, and can be used in any Question in any Template. Changes to these fieldtypes apply instantly everywhere they are used.
To select a reusable fieldtype, add a new question. In the Field Type selector, choose "Select Reusable Fieldtype"
Start typing the name of the template you wish to use, and select it when it appears. Details about the selected fieldtype will be shown, including a description set by your administrator and any subfieldtypes and a truncated list of options.
When a reusable fieldtype is selected, the standard fieldtype editor will not appear. A card describing the reusable fieldtype will replace the editor. If the fieldtype selected has subfields, you can select whether to set the question as a list.
If you're an organization administrator, you can select the "Edit in Organization Settings" to jump directly into the fieldtype editor for this reusable field. To learn more about managing reusable fieldtypes, view the "Managing Reusable Fieldtypes" article.
